Marvel’s ‘Luke Cage’: The Blackest Superhero Show Ever

There has been a flurry of casting announcements for the upcoming Netflix series Luke Cage, the first ever Black-centric superhero television series ever. Now the Mike Colter led superhero vehicle has a slew of all-minority cast members to back him up.

Marvel’s first partnership with Netflix, Daredevil, was a roaring success. Critics, fanboys, and general watchers alike all praised the series, and it was quickly renewed for a second season. The second series, Jessica Jones, is due out November 20 and will also introduce us to small screen portrayal of Luke Cage, the first Black superhero to garner his own comic book series.

And the good folks at Marvel and Netflix are taking this opportunity and running with it.
